The perfect Sunday! Went to a nice church service and then came home and whipped up some biscuits and jam for a nice little brunch. The biscuits were good but the real star was this vanilla pear jam! All it takes is two large pears, about 200 grams of sugar (I weighed it out but it was probably about one cup), the juice of half a lemon, and a teaspoon of vanilla. All you have to do is peel and cut the pears and throw all the ingredients together and let it sit and marinate in the fridge overnight. When you are ready throw it all on the stove and let it simmer away until it thickens. We had it warm and it was soooooo delicious but it thickened up and refrigerated really nicely too!! Yum!
